Industrial filtration plant

In many projects Naaykens Luchttechniek has supplied filter systems for the ceramic industry, for example. Specifically for this industry, a lot of dust is often released, which of course must be captured properly. Our designs take into account the specific problems involved.

Anyone who has ever worked with a concrete saw can imagine that cutting ceramic or stone generates a lot of dust. And grinding or polishing stone often produces a lot of dust as well.

With our experience, we therefore apply various methods to ensure reliable extraction despite the large amount of dust buildup.

Consider:

  • Correct sizing of filter based on dust load;
  • Pre-separation of bulk dust via cyclone or pre-separator;
  • Big-bag collection for large amounts of dust, or collection in containers.

Our sales engineers are ready to work with you to estimate how much dust needs to be extracted per hour – and what is the best solution for that.

In this case, there is very high dust production.
The large capacity of the easily wheeled bins makes dust removal an easy job.

Switching industrial filter plant for saw in ceramic industry

A customer of ours in the ceramic industry asked us to provide an industrial filter installation for a stone sawing machine. Naturally, we like to think along with the customer’s process. In this case, the large amount of stone dust was quite a challenge.

Expected dust production (kg/h)400
Bulk weight of stone dust, approx. (kg/m3) 1800
Tipping container capacity (kg | liters). 900 | 1500

To be able to help them stay at the top of the ceramic industry, we designed a special industrial filter system: a double filter with two individually switchable industrial filters, with large easily movable bins.

If one of the two tanks is full, then that filter system can be temporarily stopped while still extracting through the other filter.
Thus, a continuous process can be guaranteed.

Space savings through outdoor filter installation

Many of our projects take place at successful customers who are expanding – where space in the plant is often scarce. We regularly perform our filters in a so-called outdoor installation, taking into account the conditions in which the filter will be placed.

Consider:

  • Special splash-proof fan motors;
  • Rainproofing the industrial filter system with a C2 paint system or even C3/C4;

  • Adapt Pulsejet cleaning with frost-resistant components to ensure filter cleaning even in cold winters.

Satisfied customer: expansion of stone sawmill with same industrial filtration plant

We at Naaykens Luchttechniek always enjoy hearing feedback from satisfied customers. This top player in the ceramic industry wasn’t sitting still either, of course, and not much later had purchased a second stone sawing machine. By using lower speeds and smart saw blades, they were able to optimize their process with less dust generation.

This was good news because it allowed the new machine to be connected to the same industrial filtration plant. Our modular design required only minimal modification to the piping to make the expansion possible quickly and inexpensively.

Long history of delivered industrial filtration systems for ceramic industry

The ceramic or stone industry is a sector in which we do a lot of business. In which the quality and reliability of our filtration plants are well known in this industry.

We recently received a request for a few parts to be replaced where the customer has only the nameplate as a reference – that a continuously used filter from 1996 still works well in 2022 certainly makes us proud.

The project below for a client in the United Kingdom is another example of a project where we are certain that this filter installation will keep the air clear for a long time to come.
